Autodesk Partners with SrinSoft Inc. to Revolutionize Interoperability

Autodesk is excited to announce a partnership with APS certified partner SrinSoft Inc. This collaboration aims to address the interoperability challenges faced by the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), manufacturing (MFG) and process plant sectors.

At the heart of this partnership is BIMDeX, SrinSoft's proprietary AI powered interoperability platform that has transformed data exchange in the AEC, manufacturing and process plant industries. By integrating BIMDeX’s advanced interoperability capabilities with Autodesk's Data Exchange (DX) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) using Autodesk Platform Services (APS), this partnership aims to offer a solution that meets the industry's growing demand for cloud-based, data-driven improvements to interoperability.

BIMDeX and Data Exchange

The architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing and process plant sectors are currently undergoing a rapid transformation. As distributed teams increasingly seek better ways to collaborate securely and efficiently, design projects are becoming more complex, often involving multiple teams and companies. This complexity introduces new coordination risks, such as change management, over-sharing, and the circulation of outdated information.

To address these challenges, many organizations are transitioning from traditional file-based methods to more sophisticated data-oriented solutions. However, interoperability between the various software tools required to deliver complex projects remains a significant hurdle. The collaboration between Autodesk and SrinSoft, with the revolutionary BIMDeX platform, represents a major step forward in solving these complex challenges.

BIMDeX has consistently delivered customer value through versatile collaboration modes. Utilizing the proprietary BXF file format, BIMDeX supports data exchange across local file systems, offline workflows, and private clouds. For manufacturing clients, PDM integrations are also available.

Data Exchange, a key product within Autodesk Platform Services, offers a suite of utilities that partners can use to build application connectors. These connectors enable the transfer of geometry and properties between various applications and business organizations. DX works with ACC to manage access and permissions for shared data, ensuring secure and efficient data handling.

A New Era of Collaboration

This partnership will enable seamless, cloud-based data transfer between various AEC, MFG and process plant softwares like Autodesk Plant3D, Autodesk Civil3D, AutoCAD MEP, Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, Tekla, Autodesk Docs, Microsoft Power BI, and Autodesk Revit, facilitating the management of complex industrial-scale projects. At the center of these applications will be Autodesk Docs,

The collaboration underscores Autodesk’s and SrinSoft's commitment to enhancing interoperability and supporting the industry's shift toward more secure, cloud-based, data-centric solutions. Together, they are poised to set new standards for data exchange, enabling distributed teams to collaborate more effectively and deliver complex projects with increased speed, accuracy, and security.

Customer Value

The collaboration between Autodesk and Srinsoft introduces a new mode of operation. Customers can use BIMDeX connectors to share subsets of their model via Autodesk Construction Cloud through a Data Exchange. This exchange can be permission-controlled, viewed, and bridged across hubs, making design data accessible through APS APIs. The data exchange can be updated, versioned, and integrated into countless automated workflows triggered by events. Additionally, customers can create visually rich dashboards using Autodesk Data Connector for Power BI.

"Customers are demanding that the industry move beyond file sharing workflows, so that granular data can flow between apps and organizations, securely. When Autodesk launched Data Exchange and the toolkits to create connectors, we anticipated the need for hundreds if not thousands more connectors to meet that need. Now, SrinSoft's interoperability business, BIMDeX is able to bring their portfolio of connectors to Autodesk's platform - and to many more customers. We are proud to work with SrinSoft to broaden the scope of their business through the Autodesk platform." Shelly Mujtaba, Autodesk Vice President, Product Data Platform.

"We are excited about the future of interoperability and the role that AI will play in it. Our BIMDeX platform is designed to not only address today’s challenges but also anticipate future needs, making it a critical tool for companies looking to remain competitive in a rapidly changing industry landscape." said Ram S. Hari, President & CEO of SrinSoft Inc.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Interoperability

This innovative solution is built on BIMDeX’s AI technology for advanced geometry recognition, positioning it at the forefront of next-generation interoperability. The incorporation of AI capabilities will enhance the platform's ability to predict and resolve complex design conflicts, automate repetitive tasks, and offer intelligent insights based on design data. This evolution marks a shift towards a more dynamic and adaptable approach to data exchange, enabling teams to work more efficiently and creatively.

By leveraging the power of BIMDeX's AI technology, this partnership aims to drive innovation in design collaboration, setting a new standard for how data is managed and shared across the AEC, manufacturing and process plant industries.
